#45 ⛵️ When you sail a little too close to the DEADLINE ☠️

Doogie Howser, M.D. had all the answers

I watched a lot of Doogie Howser, M.D. as a kid. My favourite part of each episode was when he sat down at his computer to compose a digital diary entry. The white cursor would blink on that blue screen and Doogie would pause briefly, waiting for the thoughts to coalesce. Then he’d type out a few succinct sentences summing up the moral of the story.

Doogie’s not just a kid doctor and a genius, I would marvel, but a writer too. Such an overachiever! This was my first impression of what it might mean to be a writer, and I thought it looked grand.
