#6: βοΈ Neutrinos, cows and the frazzle π»
Whelmed
We often hear of people being overwhelmed or underwhelmed, but you can actually also just be whelmed. The Oxford dictionary defines it likes this:
whelm
β engulf, submerge, or bury: a swimmer whelmed in a raging storm
β [no object] well up or flow: the brook whelmed up from its source
Todayβs post is about a lot of things, including a very strange trip to Herbertville and the Super-Kamiokande neutrino detector in Japan (both true stories), but itβs also about getting overwhelmed. Stressed. Worried. Anxious. By too much going on at once.
Oh but to be merely whelmed. Β
